The Birmingham Bears are a new Australian Rules football team founded in the 08/09 Winter and have just finished our first season in the Aussie Rules UK National League Central Division by ending as runners up in a 6 team competition. A fantastic achievement for the team.


The season ended with one of our team representing Ireland in the Kangaroo Cup in London (a game which saw Ireland win by 9 points).

We have an excellent ground to play/train at and are always looking for new members to join us regardless of previous experience.

The long-term aim is to grow into a community club that alongside Sport England will help develop the game amongst children in the Birmingham area
